Why we built this
Most press release wires are either eye-wateringly expensive or a free-for-all of reposts from anonymous publishers pushing thin content at whichever search engine will still index it.
We wanted something in between: cheap enough that any real company can afford to announce something, but with a human actually reading each release so the feed reads like news instead of spam. One flat fee, one review, one permanent page.
Write it, pay once, a human reviews it — then it's live and permanent.
How it works
- Create a company, then draft your release in the editor — headline, body, hero image, and the links you want to include. Drafts are free.
- When you're ready, submit for review and pay the one-time $3.99 fee by card.
- A human reviews it — checking it isn't spam, a scam, or against our terms — and approves it.
- It publishes on a permanent, Google-indexed press page, with your links rendered as real, followed links.
What gets indexed
Every release has its own permanent URL at /company/{slug}/press/{release}, fully-rendered metadata (title, description, OG image, JSON-LD NewsArticle), SEO-friendly body, and no interstitials or tracker redirects on outbound links. Releases surface on the global /press feed, under their industry, and under the country they're about.
The data under the hood
PressVerified ships with a seeded global geography dataset: 252 countries, 3,862 admin subdivisions, 167,776 cities — all from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0. Industries come from the canonical 100-sector taxonomy used across the press-release industry. That means every release is taggable against real places and real sectors from day one.
Take the credit with you
Every published release comes with a ready-to-paste HTML badge — light and dark themes, UTM-tagged so you can see the referral traffic in GA4 — that drops into your blog, footer, or launch page. It links back to the release on PressVerified and signals to readers that the announcement was published and reviewed on the wire.
Frequently asked questions
What is PressVerified?
A press release distribution service for real companies. You write a release, pay a one-time fee to publish it, and a human reviews it before it goes live on a permanent, Google-indexed press page. Your links publish as real, followed links.
How much does it cost?
A one-time fee of $3.99 per press release, paid by card when you submit. There is no subscription, no account fee, and no tier that makes your news more visible — every release gets the same permanent URL, metadata, and feed placement. Drafting is free; you only pay when you submit for review.
Do I need to verify a domain?
No. There is no domain verification step. Create a company, write your release, and submit it for review — that is the whole onboarding.
Can I include my own links?
Yes. The links you place in the body publish as real, followed links — that is the point. Keep them genuine: anything spammy, deceptive, or against our terms is rejected during review.
What does "reviewed" mean?
Every release is read by a human before it is published, to keep out scams, spam, and prohibited content. Approved releases go live automatically; anything that fails review is sent back to you as a draft to fix and resubmit at no extra charge.
Will my press release get indexed by Google?
Every release has its own permanent URL, a fully-rendered title, meta description, OpenGraph tags, and JSON-LD NewsArticle schema. Releases also surface on the global press feed, their industry feed, and the country feed for the place they are about, giving search crawlers multiple entry points.
Can I edit or delete a release?
Edit, yes — for free. Editing a live release takes it offline for a quick re-review, then republishes it. Deletion is not offered, since permanent URLs are the point of the wire; edit to retract if you need to.
Who runs it
PressVerified is built and operated by Digital Platforms Ltd, a UK company. We run several properties that live or die by open-web distribution, so we eat our own cooking — our announcements come out through this same pipeline.
